Frankfurt Airport to Gaienhofen is around 345 kilometres and about three hours and 40 minutes on the road. The route runs south on the A 5, continues on the motorways towards Stuttgart and Villingen-Schwenningen as far as the Hegau near Singen, and then takes country roads down to the Untersee.
