Terminals

Pickup at T1 & T3

Terminal 1

Concourses A, B, C and Z · Lufthansa and Star Alliance. The meeting point is the arrivals level (level 1): your driver stands immediately beyond that concourse's customs exit holding a name sign.

Terminal 3

Concourses H and J · operating since 2026, mostly non-Star-Alliance carriers. Your driver waits on the arrivals level beyond the customs exit here too — the concourse follows from your flight number.

SkyLine & walkways

T1 and T3 are linked by the SkyLine elevated train, a ride of a few minutes. If your terminal changes at short notice the driver moves to the new meeting point — one call is enough and there is no extra charge.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where does my driver meet me at Terminal 1 / 3?

The meeting point is the arrivals hall of your terminal: your driver waits just beyond the customs exit with a name sign and walks you to the vehicle. Terminal 1 mainly serves Lufthansa and Star Alliance and Terminal 3 the remaining airlines — the right hall follows from the flight number you give when booking.

What happens when my flight is delayed?

Pickup is tied to your flight number and shifts automatically with the actual landing time — at no extra charge, even for a delay of several hours or a diversion to a different terminal. 60 minutes of waiting after touchdown are included, covering baggage reclaim and passport control.

How early should I leave for Frankfurt Airport?

Plan to be at the terminal 2 hours before a Schengen departure and 3 hours before a long-haul flight. Add the driving time itself plus roughly 20 percent as a traffic buffer — every town page states both as a concrete recommendation. The booking form proposes the pickup time automatically once you enter your flight number and address.

How much is a private transfer to Frankfurt Airport?

The price is fixed before you book and depends on the distance and vehicle class — not on a meter, the time of day or the traffic. Enter your pickup and destination address in the booking form and the fixed price for every class appears immediately, including tolls, terminal parking, waiting time and VAT. There are no surcharges afterwards.

Is FR Transfer a taxi or a chauffeur service?

FR Transfer is a chauffeur service: every journey is booked in advance, the fixed price is set before you book and no meter runs. Your driver wears a suit, greets you by name and helps with the luggage. The Business and First Class categories are a limousine service in a Mercedes E- or S-Class — you hail a taxi at a rank, but you book a chauffeur to the minute.

How much luggage fits in each vehicle?

The Economy, Business and First Class sedans take 2 large suitcases plus 2 cabin bags for up to 3 passengers. The Business Van takes 7 suitcases plus 5 cabin bags for up to 8 people. Declare oversized items — skis, a golf bag, a pushchair, a wheelchair — when booking so the right class is dispatched.

Can I pay the driver by card?

Card payment is accepted directly in the vehicle — as is cash, or paying online by credit card in advance. Business customers can be invoiced. You always receive a receipt showing VAT, as a PDF by e-mail on request.

Can I travel with an infant or child seat?

An infant carrier, child seat or booster is selected during booking and fitted by the driver before pickup. Give the child's age and weight so the correct size group is installed — German law requires a restraint up to age 12 or 150 cm.

How do cancellation and waiting-time charges work?

Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the agreed pickup time; after that a fee may apply under the terms. Airport pickups include 60 minutes of waiting from the actual landing time, and address pickups include 15 minutes. Only beyond that does a waiting charge accrue, per started quarter hour.

Is FR Transfer licensed and insured?

FR Transfer operates as a licensed private-hire company under the German Passenger Transport Act (PBefG). Every vehicle carries commercial liability and passenger insurance and every driver holds a passenger-transport permit — unlike a private ridesharing arrangement, the journey is covered by law.

Does FR Transfer operate outside Germany?

Cross-border transfers are part of the standard service: alongside Germany, 10 neighbouring countries are served — including France, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Czechia and Poland. Tolls, road vignettes and border formalities are included in the fixed price.
