From Frankfurt Airport to The Hague

Leaving the airport, the A3 heads north-west through the Westerwald, past Limburg and the Siebengebirge into the Cologne area. From there the road continues to the Lower Rhine and crosses into the Netherlands, either near Venlo or by way of Arnhem.

On the Dutch side the ring motorways around Utrecht take over and the A12 runs straight into the centre of The Hague. The whole run is roughly 452 km and about five hours, toll-free from end to end.

Meet and greet in arrivals

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall beyond baggage reclaim, holding a name sign. Your flight number is logged in advance, so a delay or an early landing does not leave anyone guessing.

There is no number to call and no app to open in order to find the car – you walk from the name sign to the vehicle.

Arriving in The Hague

The destination is the exact address you give: a hotel in the centre, an apartment in the Statenkwartier, a conference venue in the government quarter or a holiday rental in Scheveningen. Voorburg and Rijswijk count as The Hague too and add no detour to the run.

After a long-haul flight this is where the transfer earns its keep: you get out and you have arrived, with no station changes in Dutch evening traffic.

What The Hague is about

The city is the seat of Dutch government even though Amsterdam is the capital: parliament sits at the Binnenhof, the King works out of Noordeinde Palace, and the International Court of Justice occupies the Peace Palace. That concentration explains the unusually large number of embassies and international bodies.

As a counterweight to all the officialdom, the wide North Sea beach at Scheveningen and the miniature city of Madurodam are only a short tram ride away. Land in summer and the transfer often gets you to a beach pavilion faster than to a hotel lobby.

Notes for the inbound trip

Late-afternoon landings meet Randstad rush hour around Utrecht and The Hague; early morning and late evening runs flow far better. The 100 km/h daytime limit on Dutch motorways is already priced into the journey time.

Child seats need to be requested when booking, since they travel with the car. If you are arriving off a night flight, expect one short stop on the German side – it is part of the plan, not an interruption.

Comparison

Transfer, taxi or train from The Hague?

There is no comfortable direct train from Frankfurt Airport to The Hague; realistically you change at least once in Cologne, Duisburg or Utrecht, arrive at Den Haag Centraal and still need a taxi to your actual address. Booking a metered taxi from Frankfurt across an international border is expensive and impossible to quote up front. A rental car demands five hours of concentration immediately after an intercontinental flight and ends with a parking search in a densely built city. The fixed-price transfer removes both problems: one vehicle, one journey, one figure known in advance, and a front door rather than a station forecourt at the end.

Transfer (fixed price) recommended ~304 min 0 included fixed, known upfront

Timing

When to set off from The Hague

For the 452 km to Frankfurt your driver allows around 304 minutes of actual driving plus roughly 60 minutes of buffer for rush hour, roadworks and the terminal approach. To make a Schengen flight, that means leaving The Hague about 8 h 4 min before departure; for long-haul and non-Schengen, about 9 h 4 min.

You do not have to do that arithmetic yourself. Enter your departure time and address and the booking form proposes the pickup time — driving time, buffer and terminal lead are already inside it. If you would rather leave earlier, overwrite the suggestion.

In the other direction the arithmetic disappears anyway: for an airport pickup the time hangs on your flight number, not the clock. Your driver tracks the actual landing, and 60 minutes of waiting from touchdown are included.

What's included

What the price covers on this route

The fixed price for The Hague – Frankfurt Airport covers all 452 km, plus tolls and road charges en route, the airport access and short-stay parking at pickup, and the border crossing including a vignette where one is required. What you pay is settled before you book — there is no meter and no surcharge that only appears as you get out.

The price is independent of the clock as well. The same route costs the same at three in the morning as on a Wednesday afternoon, the same on public holidays as on working days, and there is no demand surcharge during trade fairs. The only things that move it are ones you choose: a stop along the way, a larger vehicle class, or the return leg.

Every passenger is welcome — regardless of background, gender, identity or orientation; our drivers are explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly. Pets travel when the species and size are noted at booking, and guide and assistance dogs with no notice and no surcharge.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does the transfer from Frankfurt Airport to The Hague take?

The drive from Frankfurt Airport to The Hague takes about 304 minutes for 452 km in normal traffic. That is measured from the meeting point inside the terminal, not from touchdown.

Where does my driver meet me at Terminal 1 or 3?

The meeting point is the arrivals hall of your terminal — your driver stands just beyond the customs exit holding a name sign and walks you to the vehicle. The terminal follows from the flight number you give when booking, and a diversion to 1 or 3 still gets you found.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Pickup is linked to your flight number and shifts automatically with the actual landing time — at no extra charge. 60 minutes of waiting are included after touchdown so baggage reclaim and passport control are covered.

How much is a transfer from Frankfurt Airport to The Hague?

The fixed price for the 452 km route is shown in the booking form before you book and never changes afterwards — regardless of traffic, time of day, weekday or how long the drive actually takes. It depends on the vehicle class and the distance, not on a meter.

Do you drive across the border to The Hague?

Cross-border journeys are part of the standard service — The Hague is served at a fixed price exactly like German destinations, and we cover Germany plus 10 neighbouring countries in total. Tolls, road vignettes and border formalities are included in the price.

What does the fixed price include?

It covers the 452 km drive, tolls and road charges en route, airport fees, and 60 minutes of waiting from the landing time. The price only moves for things you choose yourself — a stop along the way, a larger vehicle class or a return leg — and each is shown in the form before you confirm.

Does the ride cost more at night or on public holidays?

The fixed price applies whatever the clock says: The Hague – Frankfurt Airport costs the same at three in the morning as on a Wednesday afternoon. There is no night, weekend or holiday surcharge, and no demand pricing during trade fairs. Booking and driving run 24/7.

How much luggage fits in each vehicle?

The sedan classes take 4 large suitcases plus 2 cabin bags; the Business Van takes 12 suitcases plus 5 cabin bags for up to 8 passengers. Declare oversized items such as skis, a golf bag or a pushchair when booking so the right class is dispatched.

Is this a taxi or a chauffeur service?

This is a chauffeur service: the journey is booked in advance, the price is fixed before you book and no meter runs. Your driver wears a suit, greets you by name and helps with the luggage — in the Business and First Class categories it is a limousine service with a Mercedes E- or S-Class. You hail a taxi at a rank; a chauffeur waits for you at the terminal with a name sign. That makes the transfer the fixed-price alternative to a Frankfurt Airport taxi for The Hague.

Transfer or train from The Hague?

The train is cheaper per person, the transfer per vehicle — with two travellers and luggage the comparison usually flips. The transfer covers the 452 km in about 304 minutes with no changes and ends at your address rather than a station; travelling alone with hand luggage and a good connection, the train is often the better call.

Can I travel with a dog or a cat?

Pets are welcome. State the species and size when booking so the right vehicle class is dispatched for The Hague — small animals travel in a carrier in the footwell, larger dogs in the load area of a van. Guide dogs and assistance dogs travel in every vehicle, with no advance notice and no surcharge.

Can I pay the driver by card?

Card payment is accepted directly in the vehicle — as is cash or paying online in advance, and business customers can be invoiced. You receive a receipt with VAT shown either way.

Can I travel with an infant or child seat?

A child seat, booster or infant carrier is selected during booking and fitted by the driver before pickup. State the child's age so the correct size group is installed.

Can I book this transfer for someone else?

The booking runs in the passenger's name rather than the payer's — your guest, client or family member is met at the terminal with a name sign. Payment and the receipt stay with you. Add the passenger's flight number and mobile so flight tracking and contact both work.

Who is the service for?

Every passenger is welcome — regardless of background, gender, identity or orientation. Our drivers are explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly: couples, families of every shape, women travelling alone and guests who need assistance are driven with exactly the same matter-of-factness as anyone else. Discretion is part of a chauffeur service in any case.
