The drive from the Lake Constance shore to Frankfurt Airport covers about 366 kilometres and takes roughly three hours and fifty minutes in clear traffic. From Meersburg the car first follows the B 31 along the northern shore past Uhldingen-Mühlhofen, then crosses the Hegau to join the A 81 towards Stuttgart.

Beyond Rottweil and the Stuttgart area the route switches to the A 8 and, at Karlsruhe, to the A 5 for the final hundred kilometres to the Frankfurter Kreuz. Pickup time is calculated backwards from your departure, since the Stuttgart–Karlsruhe stretch is the one reliably slow section in the morning.

You do not need the car ferry to Konstanz for the airport run – the route stays entirely on the German northern shore, so there is no queue at the ferry ramp to factor in.
