Rastatt to Frankfurt Airport is about 155 kilometres, planned at roughly 102 minutes of driving. A short run on the B 43 puts you on the A 5, which heads north through the Upper Rhine plain past Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe.

Further north the A 6 and A 67 carry the route through the Mannheim area before the A 5 resumes along the Bergstraße and runs into the Frankfurter Kreuz. Almost the whole distance is motorway, with only the opening kilometres on a main road.

About Rastatt

Rastatt lies between the river Murg and the Rhine at the edge of the northern Black Forest, and owes its townscape to Margrave Ludwig Wilhelm of Baden, known as Türkenlouis: the Rastatt residential palace was the first baroque residence on the Upper Rhine. The palace now houses the military history museum and a memorial to Germany's freedom movements, recalling the Baden revolution of 1849.
