From Koblenz the A 3 takes over, running through the Westerwald hills, past Limburg an der Lahn and along the edge of the Taunus straight to the Frankfurter Kreuz interchange. Aachen sits at Germany's far western corner by the three-country point, so this is a genuine crossing of North Rhine-Westphalia — predictable, but not a short hop.
