Erfurt's main station lies about 265 kilometres from Frankfurt Airport, close to three hours of driving. The car leaves Erfurt westbound on the A 4, passing Gotha and Eisenach and clearing the northern edge of the Thuringian Forest.

At the Kirchheim interchange the route joins the A 7 briefly and then the A 5, which runs down past Bad Hersfeld, the Gießen basin and the Wetterau into the Rhine-Main area. You only leave the motorway at Frankfurter Kreuz for the terminal.

Pickup outside the station

The meeting point is the forecourt on Willy-Brandt-Platz in front of Erfurt Hauptbahnhof, where the driver waits with your name. If you arrive by ICE from Leipzig, Berlin or Munich, you simply walk down through the concourse and change modes.
