From Europa-Park to Frankfurt Airport

Europa-Park in Rust lies about 235 kilometres from Frankfurt Airport, a journey we schedule at roughly two and a quarter hours. From the resort the car joins the A 5 at the Rust exit, and that motorway carries almost the whole run north.

The route crosses the Upper Rhine plain past Ettenheim, Lahr and Offenburg, continues by Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe, then loops around Mannheim on the A 6 and A 67 before returning to the A 5 for the airport exit. The Rhine and the French border stay within sight to the left the whole way, but the route never crosses them.

Pickup at Europa-Park

We collect you exactly where you stayed: outside one of the resort hotels such as Colosseo, El Andaluz, Bell Rock or Krønasår, at the resort entrance, or at your holiday apartment in Rust.

Your driver is at the forecourt at the agreed time, helps load suitcases, pushchairs and souvenirs, and sets off directly. Since families usually travel heavy, it pays to state passenger numbers and child seats when booking – the fixed price is then set from the start.

Arriving at Frankfurt Airport

At the airport we drive to your departure terminal, Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 depending on the airline. You step out at the kerbside, the luggage is unloaded, and the check-in desks are immediately behind you.

For families this is the calmest part of the day: no changing trains with tired children, no hauling bags through station concourses, just a stop directly outside the hall.

Europa-Park in Rust

Europa-Park is Germany's largest theme park, set in Rust in the Ortenau district between Freiburg and Offenburg, only a few kilometres from the Rhine and the French border. The site is laid out as European themed areas – Italy, Scandinavia, Iceland, France – alongside rollercoasters such as Silver Star and Blue Fire and the Rulantica water world.

Because the resort includes several large themed hotels, the park is a stay rather than a day out – guests come from Switzerland, France, the Netherlands and increasingly from much further afield. That is exactly why a visit here so often ends with a drive to Frankfurt Airport.

Practical notes for the return trip to Frankfurt

Allow around three hours at the terminal before an intercontinental flight and roughly two for European routes, and expect heavier traffic on the A 5 between Karlsruhe and Frankfurt at weekends and during school holidays.

Please give the number and ages of children when booking child seats or infant carriers, and mention pushchairs or oversized items. If your flight leaves very early, the departure from Rust simply moves into the small hours – we plan the pickup accordingly.
