The route from Frankfurt Airport to Geneva
From the terminal the car takes the Frankfurter Kreuz onto the southbound A 5: Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Freiburg im Breisgau and the full length of the Rhine valley with the Black Forest on the left. At Basel the drive switches onto the Swiss network, with the vignette already fitted.
Past Bern and across the plateau the road meets Lake Geneva at Lausanne and follows the shore through to Vernier and Geneva itself. We allow a good six hours for the 574 kilometres, including one short break.
Meet and greet in arrivals
Your driver is waiting in the arrivals hall of your terminal with a name sign as soon as you clear baggage reclaim and customs. We track the flight number, so a delayed landing simply moves the meeting time with it.
From there you walk together to the car – no ticket machines, no queue, no hunting for the right platform after a long-haul flight. The price is the one you saw when you booked.
Arriving in Geneva
We deliver you to the address itself: a hotel on the quai, an apartment in Eaux-Vives, a conference venue near the Palais des Nations or a private address in Chêne-Bourg. After six hours on the road the journey ends at a front door rather than a station forecourt.
The same applies to the surrounding communes – Carouge, Les Avanchets, Vernier. Give us the address and the driver takes you there, helping with the bags at the end.
What awaits you in Geneva
Few cities of this size are so thoroughly geared to arriving visitors: international organisations, a dense conference calendar and a population drawn from everywhere. The Jet d'Eau marks the centre from the water, and behind it the old town rises to Saint-Pierre Cathedral.
If you are not here for work, there are the lakeside promenades, the old town lanes, the craft shops of Carouge – and in winter, short onward hops to the Alps, with Chamonix and the Valais resorts within easy reach of a connecting transfer.
Practical notes for this journey
Have your passport or ID ready, as the Basel crossing is subject to spot checks. If you are landing off a long-haul flight, the leg to Lake Geneva is a long one – tell the driver if you would rather sleep and the car stays quiet.
For groups, families needing child seats or unusually heavy luggage we assign a larger vehicle, provided it is flagged at booking. Intermediate stops, in Lausanne for example, can be arranged in advance.
Also bookable as its own route: Frankfurt Airport to Chêne-Bougeries (575 km, at a fixed price with real drive-time facts). Every route, fixed price and vehicle class at FR Transfer.

Transfer, taxi or train from Geneva?
After an intercontinental arrival in Frankfurt, a connecting flight to Geneva is short but costs you a second boarding, another security process and the risk that your suitcase misses the transfer window. The train via Basel means at least one change with your own bags; a rental car means six hours of driving straight after landing, plus the vignette and a Swiss drop-off fee. The fixed-price transfer asks nothing of you: a name sign in arrivals, one vehicle, one address and a fare known in advance.

How long does the transfer from Frankfurt Airport to Geneva take?
The drive from Frankfurt Airport to Geneva takes about 368 minutes for 574 km in normal traffic. That is measured from the meeting point inside the terminal, not from touchdown.
Where does my driver meet me at Terminal 1 or 3?
The meeting point is the arrivals hall of your terminal — your driver stands just beyond the customs exit holding a name sign and walks you to the vehicle. The terminal follows from the flight number you give when booking, and a diversion to 1 or 3 still gets you found.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Pickup is linked to your flight number and shifts automatically with the actual landing time — at no extra charge. 60 minutes of waiting are included after touchdown so baggage reclaim and passport control are covered.
How much is a transfer from Frankfurt Airport to Geneva?
The fixed price for the 574 km route is shown in the booking form before you book and never changes afterwards — regardless of traffic, time of day, weekday or how long the drive actually takes. It depends on the vehicle class and the distance, not on a meter.
Do you drive across the border to Geneva?
Cross-border journeys are part of the standard service — Geneva is served at a fixed price exactly like German destinations, and we cover Germany plus 10 neighbouring countries in total. Tolls, road vignettes and border formalities are included in the price.
How much luggage fits in each vehicle?
The sedan classes take 2 large suitcases plus 2 cabin bags; the Business Van takes 7 suitcases plus 5 cabin bags for up to 8 passengers. Declare oversized items such as skis, a golf bag or a pushchair when booking so the right class is dispatched.
Is this a taxi or a chauffeur service?
This is a chauffeur service: the journey is booked in advance, the price is fixed before you book and no meter runs. Your driver wears a suit, greets you by name and helps with the luggage — in the Business and First Class categories it is a limousine service with a Mercedes E- or S-Class. You hail a taxi at a rank; a chauffeur waits for you at the terminal with a name sign. That makes the transfer the fixed-price alternative to a Frankfurt Airport taxi for Geneva.
Can I pay the driver by card?
Card payment is accepted directly in the vehicle — as is cash or paying online in advance, and business customers can be invoiced. You receive a receipt with VAT shown either way.
Can I travel with an infant or child seat?
A child seat, booster or infant carrier is selected during booking and fitted by the driver before pickup. State the child's age so the correct size group is installed.
