From Marksburg above Braubach to Frankfurt Airport is 88 kilometres and around 76 minutes. The drive starts with the hairpins down from the castle hill to the Rhine, then follows the right-bank riverside road upstream towards Lahnstein.

Through the Lahn valley it reaches the Limburg an der Lahn area and the A 3, whose final stretch runs straight past the airport. The 76 minutes are longer than 88 kilometres normally take, because the opening section is country and riverside road rather than motorway.

Factor in the walk back down from the castle to the car park: it is steep and cobbled, and takes longer with wheeled luggage than you expect. Leaving the bags in the car or at your Braubach hotel beforehand is the easier option.
