Düsseldorf's main station is about 215 km from Frankfurt Airport, a drive we plan at a good two hours twenty. The car leaves the city on the A 46, joins the A 3 at the Hilden interchange, and stays on it for most of the journey.

From there the route runs south past Cologne and Bonn, through the Westerwald and past Limburg an der Lahn into the Rhine-Main region. Only in the last few kilometres does it peel off the A 3 onto the airport approach.

Pickup at the main station

The default meeting point is Konrad-Adenauer-Platz in front of the main entrance, or the quieter eastern side at Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz if you prefer. The driver phones you as soon as the car is in the stopping zone.
