Most is a mining town in North Bohemia whose history is shaped by brown-coal extraction – the historic old town gave way to the open-cast pit in the 1970s. It became famous for the move of the Gothic Church of the Assumption, rolled 841 metres in one piece along rails to its present site in 1975.
