From Frankfurt Airport to Wuerzburg Hauptbahnhof
From the terminal the car joins the A 3 at the Frankfurter Kreuz and heads south-east, some 121 km covered in about 86 minutes. Beyond Aschaffenburg the motorway climbs into the Spessart before following the Main valley past Wertheim.
Just short of Wuerzburg the route leaves the A 3 and comes into the city on the ring road, ending on the forecourt of the main station on Kaiserstrasse.
Meet and greet at FRA
Your driver is in the arrivals hall of your terminal holding a sign with your name on it. Because we track the flight number, it makes no difference whether you land early or late.
He then walks you to the vehicle and loads the luggage, so there is no queueing at the taxi rank.
Arriving at the main station
We set you down on the station forecourt itself, so you can walk straight to a connecting train to Nuremberg, Bamberg, Schweinfurt or elsewhere in Franconia. If you would rather go to your hotel first, just give the address: the old town, Sanderau and Frauenland are all minutes away.
The driver will carry your bags to the platform entrance or the hotel door if you ask.
Wuerzburg on arrival
Kaiserstrasse opens from the station towards the old town, at whose eastern edge stands the prince-bishops' Residenz with its court gardens; the staircase ceiling by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo is among the most celebrated in Europe.
On the far bank the vineyard slope rises to Marienberg Fortress, and all around lies Franconian wine country with its Silvaner in the flask-shaped Bocksbeutel. Wuerzburg is also a university city, where Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered the rays that bear his name.
Practical notes on arrival
Give us your flight number when booking and, if you have an onward train, its departure time; the driver will then use the entrance closest to the platforms.
During the Kiliani fair or the Africa Festival the area around the station and the Talavera meadow is busier than usual, so we allow extra time for those dates.

Transfer, taxi or train from Würzburg Hauptbahnhof?
The train from the airport to Wuerzburg normally involves a change and a walk with your bags, whereas the transfer runs without interruption to the station forecourt or straight to your final address. An airport taxi puts the 121 km on the meter, and a rental car means a counter, a deposit and a night drive through the Spessart. If you have a regional connection to catch onwards into Franconia, the fixed price and the predictable arrival time are what make the difference.

How long does the transfer from Frankfurt Airport to Würzburg Hauptbahnhof take?
The drive from Frankfurt Airport to Würzburg Hauptbahnhof takes about 86 minutes for 121 km in normal traffic. That is measured from the meeting point inside the terminal, not from touchdown.
Where does my driver meet me at Terminal 1 or 3?
The meeting point is the arrivals hall of your terminal — your driver stands just beyond the customs exit holding a name sign and walks you to the vehicle. The terminal follows from the flight number you give when booking, and a diversion to 1 or 3 still gets you found.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Pickup is linked to your flight number and shifts automatically with the actual landing time — at no extra charge. 60 minutes of waiting are included after touchdown so baggage reclaim and passport control are covered.
How much is a transfer from Frankfurt Airport to Würzburg Hauptbahnhof?
The fixed price for the 121 km route is shown in the booking form before you book and never changes afterwards — regardless of traffic, time of day, weekday or how long the drive actually takes. It depends on the vehicle class and the distance, not on a meter.
How much luggage fits in each vehicle?
The sedan classes take 2 large suitcases plus 2 cabin bags; the Business Van takes 7 suitcases plus 5 cabin bags for up to 8 passengers. Declare oversized items such as skis, a golf bag or a pushchair when booking so the right class is dispatched.
Is this a taxi or a chauffeur service?
This is a chauffeur service: the journey is booked in advance, the price is fixed before you book and no meter runs. Your driver wears a suit, greets you by name and helps with the luggage — in the Business and First Class categories it is a limousine service with a Mercedes E- or S-Class. You hail a taxi at a rank; a chauffeur waits for you at the terminal with a name sign. That makes the transfer the fixed-price alternative to a Frankfurt Airport taxi for Würzburg Hauptbahnhof.
Can I pay the driver by card?
Card payment is accepted directly in the vehicle — as is cash or paying online in advance, and business customers can be invoiced. You receive a receipt with VAT shown either way.
Can I travel with an infant or child seat?
A child seat, booster or infant carrier is selected during booking and fitted by the driver before pickup. State the child's age so the correct size group is installed.
