Route facts

From Frankfurt Airport to Berlin

After landing the drive heads north on the A 5, continues along the A 49 and the A 7 past Kassel and Braunschweig, then joins the A 39 and the A 2. The Berliner Ring takes over at the end, and the A 10 and A 115 bring you past Potsdam into the city.

We plan roughly five hours and 45 minutes for the 562 kilometres. Your driver watches conditions on the A 2 and reroutes around jams; a longer run changes nothing about the fixed price agreed at booking.

Meet and greet in arrivals

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall beyond customs holding a name sign, in Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 depending on where your flight lands. We track the flight number and adjust the wait if the landing slips.

There is nothing to search for and nothing to order: the driver takes the luggage, walks you to the car and sets off. Waiting time after landing is included in the fixed price.

Arriving in Berlin

We take you to the door itself - a hotel in Mitte, an apartment in Prenzlauer Berg, a company address in Friedrichshain or a connecting train at Hauptbahnhof. Destinations in Spandau, Köpenick or out on the city edge cost no extra.

After nearly six hours the journey ends where you actually wanted to be, not at a station with one more taxi ride to go. Arrivals in the middle of the night are handled like any other; we do not add night surcharges.

About Berlin

Berlin spreads over an area most visitors underestimate; the distance between the government quarter by the Tiergarten and Friedrichshain is greater than the map suggests. With suitcases and an S-Bahn change, that stretch is the least pleasant part of any long-haul arrival.

People book this run for trade fairs by the Funkturm, congresses and ministry appointments in Mitte, concerts, and family weekends. First-time visitors also get their bearings from the driver on the way in, which the underground never offers.

Practical notes for the drive to Berlin

Give us the flight number, not just the time - that tells the driver when he genuinely needs to be at the terminal. For morning intercontinental arrivals we add time for passport control and the baggage belt.

Child seats, an estate car or a van for six passengers with luggage can be added when you book. On a run this long we normally stop once between Bad Hersfeld and Kassel.

Comparison

Transfer, taxi or train from Berlin?

Landing in Frankfurt and still needing Berlin leaves three awkward options: a train that means carrying bags to the Fernbahnhof and then through the S-Bahn at the other end; a rental car you drive yourself along the A 2 straight off a long-haul flight; or a taxi with no binding figure for 562 kilometres. A transfer booked in advance removes all three decisions - one driver with a name sign, one car, one destination address, and a price fixed before you even took off.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does the transfer from Frankfurt Airport to Berlin take?

The drive from Frankfurt Airport to Berlin takes about 346 minutes for 562 km in normal traffic. That is measured from the meeting point inside the terminal, not from touchdown.

Where does my driver meet me at Terminal 1 or 3?

The meeting point is the arrivals hall of your terminal — your driver stands just beyond the customs exit holding a name sign and walks you to the vehicle. The terminal follows from the flight number you give when booking, and a diversion to 1 or 3 still gets you found.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Pickup is linked to your flight number and shifts automatically with the actual landing time — at no extra charge. 60 minutes of waiting are included after touchdown so baggage reclaim and passport control are covered.

How much is a transfer from Frankfurt Airport to Berlin?

The fixed price for the 562 km route is shown in the booking form before you book and never changes afterwards — regardless of traffic, time of day, weekday or how long the drive actually takes. It depends on the vehicle class and the distance, not on a meter.

How much luggage fits in each vehicle?

The sedan classes take 2 large suitcases plus 2 cabin bags; the Business Van takes 7 suitcases plus 5 cabin bags for up to 8 passengers. Declare oversized items such as skis, a golf bag or a pushchair when booking so the right class is dispatched.

Is this a taxi or a chauffeur service?

This is a chauffeur service: the journey is booked in advance, the price is fixed before you book and no meter runs. Your driver wears a suit, greets you by name and helps with the luggage — in the Business and First Class categories it is a limousine service with a Mercedes E- or S-Class. You hail a taxi at a rank; a chauffeur waits for you at the terminal with a name sign. That makes the transfer the fixed-price alternative to a Frankfurt Airport taxi for Berlin.

Can I pay the driver by card?

Card payment is accepted directly in the vehicle — as is cash or paying online in advance, and business customers can be invoiced. You receive a receipt with VAT shown either way.

Can I travel with an infant or child seat?

A child seat, booster or infant carrier is selected during booking and fitted by the driver before pickup. State the child's age so the correct size group is installed.
